Unions against KGHM

Listed copper group KGHM trade unions are demanding a 7.6% hike of the base wage, while the management proposes 3.8%, the daily Parkiet writes of the wage talks held on Monday.
A failure to reach a compromise would still mean an increase in rates by 80% of the proposed indicator or by 6.15%, the ZZPPM union reminds. The unions are also calling for liquidating incentive bonuses, which they see as too arbitrary, in favor of base wage growth. The unions also want changes to special bonuses, the level of which is undermined by the metals tax as the latter affects the concern’s net profit – the base for bonuses calculation.
