The government and the ruling party Law and Justice (PiS) are currently preparing various concepts of an information campaign abroad to ease tensions between Poland and Israel in relation to the controversial anti-defamation bill and to convince the US that the whole issue is not as serious as one might judge from reactions in the media, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna daily reports.
Convincing the US will be of key importance as the issue could negatively affect Polish-American relations the fastest. Handling the bill is the first important test for PM Mateusz Morawiecki, who stands a chance to become more credible in the eyes of right-wing of the ruling party, an unnamed PiS politician told the daily.
