Daniel Obajtek
Fuel group PKN Orlen's newly appointed CEO Daniel Obajtek has already started personnel changes in the company and on his first day he dismissed directors in HR, marketing, PR and management board's office who were hired by his predecessor Wojciech Jasinski and his deputy Miroslaw Kochalski, a person familiar with the matter told Puls Biznesu daily.
Obajtek is known to be "ruthless" when it comes to firing people, a manager close to the ruling party Law and Justice (PiS) told the daily. Similarly to Jasinski, the new CEO is in good relations with PiS leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski but Jasinski lost the job as he wouldn't consult his decisions with Energy Minister Krzysztof Tchorzewski, Puls Biznesu and Rzeczpospolita dailies claim.
