Polish equity market suffered the strongest declines in over a year, affected by the selloff in the US, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna daily reports. Blue chip index WIG20 lost 3.3%, biggest single-session decline since June 2016. Tuesday declines do not necessarily imply a major selloff although if one were to focus on purely internal factors, a longer period of declines would be justified, head of research at brokerage DM Millennium Marcin Materna commented for DGP, adding that recent gains on the WSE were fueled by foreign investors buying the biggest stocks, while small and medium companies have been performing weaker for the last few quarters, he explained.
