Debiensko coal mine
Coal company JSW is talking to peer Prairie Mining about buying its mining license for defunct coking coal mine Debiensko, unspecified sources tell Dziennik Gazeta Prawna (DGP).
Reps of the two firms met in the last few days to discuss cooperation opportunities, JSW spokesperson Katarzyna Jablonska-Bajer says as quoted by the newspaper.
Prairie Mining may agree to sell Debiensko and focus on its other coking coal project in Poland, DGP's sources claim.
JSW wants to boost coking coal production by 5.2 million tons by 2030 vs. 2017, with its share in total output to over 85% from 72% according to the new development strategy to be presented on Friday.
