Poland expects minimum annual demand for steam coal to drop to 49.5 million tons in 2018-2030 in view of the planned investments in nuclear power, deputy energy minister Grzegorz Tobiszowski said during the presentation of coal miner JSW's strategy for the period.
The figure is in line with the most conservative scenario outlined in Poland's recently adopted mining sector strategy until 2030.
