Wojciech Jasinski
A management reshuffling at listed fuel firm PKN Orlen was not a "hostile" move, Energy Minister Krzysztof Tchorzewski assured for the daily Parkiet. Tchorzewski hopes that departing CEO Wojciech Jasinski will stay on as an advisor to the board.
Minister played down market speculation that PKN Orlen's buy-out bid for Czech unit Unipetrol was the cause of the Jasinski dismissal, noting that the decision was fully approved by the supervisory board of the firm.
The Jasinski dismissal only showed the "right moment for a new approach to priorities," the daily says of what was called a rather terse explanation from Tchorzewski.
