Arrested official goes to prosecutor
Charges filed against officials in the 2014 privatization of listed chemicals firm Ciech take broad coverage in all major dailies.
Poland's anti-corruption police force CBA currently plans no further arrests, but the investigation could expand after testimony of the six already arrested, insiders tell the daily Rzeczpospolita.
The Ciech sale was subject of prior investigations after the topic appeared in recordings during the so-called tapes scandal of the prior government. Apparent inconsistencies in valuations of the by ING Securities are drawn out. A report by the Supreme Audit Chamber (NIK) claimed only 'mismanagement' of the deal and prosecutors never found proof of alleged corruption.
