Marek Zagorski
The Polish government is unlikely to find a replacement for dismissed digital affairs minister Anna Stezynska any time soon, according to Rzeczpospolita daily.
Currently the ministry is directly supervised by PM Mateusz Morawiecki and deputy minister Marek Zagorski from Law and Justice (PiS) ally Porozumienie is the acting minister.
The ruling party does not have many candidates willing to take up the job as the ministry is currently dealing with several very complex digitalization projects that bear significant risks. Potential delays in these projects could imply very serious consequences, including political ones for the new minister.
Also, PiS is very satisfied with Zagorski's work so there is no pressure to appoint a new minister, party insiders told the daily.
