Listed fuel concern PKN Orlen and state oil infrastructure operator PERN signed a deal under which PERN will build a new section of the Boronow-Trzebinia oil pipeline in order to improve security of fuel supplies to the south of Poland and increase the scope of pipeline transport of fuels from Orlen's Plock refinery, PKN Orlen said in a press statement.
Back in November 2017, the new fuel logistics program approved by the Polish government put the value of the Boronow-Trzebinia pipeline construction project at PLN 215 million.
As part of the deal, PERN will additionally modernize and expand the oil transmission infrastructure between Orlen's underground oil and fuels storage facilities in Gora and the concern's Plock refinery, while also working towards increasing the capacity of the product pipeline connecting the latter refinery with Orlen's fuel terminal in Mosciska.
