Poland's labor market may have seen outflow of some 100k women due to effects of the child subsidy program PLN 500+, the Institute of Structural research (IBS) said of its estimates for mid-2017. The number roughly matches the number of job vacancies at the time. The inflow of money from child subsidy could have a particularly strong effects for lowest-earning women, IBS and OECD researchers claim. That effect is further strengthened by the rigid income criterion for subsidy for the first child, the researchers claim.
