DEBT COLLECTOR MARKET - Listed debt collector Kruk earned PLN 4 million of the 4th quarter attributable net profit. The company reported a financial year 2017 group profit of PLN 295 million, slightly below the PLN 300 million earlier estimate.

POWER - Polish electricity consumption increased by 2.99% year on year in February to 14,309 GWh, while domestic production declined by 2.22% year on year to 13,885 GWh, the national grid operator PSE said.

BANKING - Listed bank Handlowy meets the regulatory criteria for the payout of up to 100% of 2017 profit, the bank said in a market filing citing the information obtained from regulator KNF. Handlowy had recommended the payout of PLN 537 million in dividend for 2017, representing 99.98% of stand-alone net profit for last year.

POWER - Blue-chip power group Enea shareholders will vote on changes of the supervisory board at the request of the Energy Ministry, the company said in draft resolutions for the general meeting slated for April 16.

REAL ESTATE - Listed real estate developer Atal will recommend its shareholders a dividend payment of PLN 137 million or PLN 3.54 per share, in line with earlier declarations, the company said in a market filing. The remaining profit of PLN 27 million will be retained, according to the recommendation. Atal has launched 33 projects with 5,200 apartments and is working on further 41 projects with around 10,000 apartments and business premises, the company said.

RUBBER - Listed rubber producer Sanok Rubber Company posted PLN 5.6 million net profit in the 4th quarter of 2017, missing expectations for PLN 16.7 million net gain by a wide margin, the group financial report showed.

BANKING - Listed lender BOS suffered a net loss of PLN 10.9 million in the 4th quarter of 2017, PAP calculations based on annual figures show.

INSURANCE - Polish insurance companies increased the total sum of insurance claims paid in 2017 by 8.6% year on year, to PLN 39.8 billion, according to the insurers' lobby PIU.
