Poland's state enterprise "Polish Airports" (PPL) wants to invest PLN 425 million in the first stage and PLN 467 million in the second in the now minor airport in Radom in order to turn it into a complementary facility to the Warsaw Chopin Airport following a recommendation of sector consultancy Arup, the dailies Puls Biznesu and Dziennik Gazeta Prawna write.
The project is seen as cheaper and faster to execute in comparison with potential revamping of the Warsaw-adjacent Modlin airport, PPL's CEO Mariusz Szpikowski says.
