Piotr Duda
The Polish government will give up on reforming its labor code as the draft legislation that has been worked upon for the past year and a half came in for strong opposition from the lead trade union Solidarity, with its head Piotr Duda threatening the government with street protests should it decide to proceed with the proposals, the daily Gazeta Wyborcza writes. Solidarity and entrepreneurs lobby FPP are now pushing its own project of labor code reform, intended to enhance the security of civil-law based contract holders while at the same time increasing cash inflows to social security fund FUS.
