Grzegorz Schetyna
Poland's largest opposition party Civic Platform (PO) wants to maintain its coalition building capacity in the country's biggest cities and majority of regional assemblies as a result of the upcoming local elections, with a view to making a step towards a victory in elections to European Parliament and Poland's next general elections, PO leader Grzegorz Schetyna tells the daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.
PO keeps discussing alliance possibilities with liberal opposition party Nowoczesna, Schetyna says. The grouping is also working on a comprehensive social policy in order to challenge ruling party Law and Justice (PiS) in that field, the politician adds.
