The Polish government may lack the money for wage hikes of its education employees as local authorities across the country point that the education system subsidy from the central government, though raised by PLN 1.2 billion year on year, might fail to cover the expense, the daily Rzeczpospolita writes citing a complaint to the education minister Anna Zalewska from some municipalities and teachers' unions.
The ministry of education plans no hikes to the subsidy in 2018, the daily found out at the institution's press office.
