Poland should abstain from terminating the Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT) with the United Kingdom as Polish companies could lack sufficient protection on the British market following Brexit, the daily Puls Biznesu writes citing warnings from employers lobby Konfederacja Lewiatan. Poland has recently been terminating BITs with other EU member states following the European Commission's recommendation to do so motivated by the guarantees of the EU single market and high costs of international arbitrage proceedings to states, among others.
