Poland's ruling party Law and Justice (PiS) will have to withdraw from one of the key reforms concerning the election process as the personal data protection inspector GIODO questioned the plans to introduce CCTV in polling stations, the daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna writes citing GIODO statement.
PiS's plans go against the EU regulations on personal data protection to be implemented in late May, GIODO's statement implies. A PiS insider admits for the paper that CCTV will "obviously" not be introduced in the nearest or possibly the next election.
