Marek Chrzanowski
Troubled debt collector GetBack whose bond debt reaches PLN 2 billion has found itself under scrutiny of state prosecution services, all major Polish newspapers report.
The prosecutors requested all pertinent information from financial market watchdog KNF, which has already informed the prosecution services of suspicion of manipulation of market information by GetBack, according to daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.
KNF helmsman Marek Chrzanowski also discussed the GetBack case with PM Mateusz Morawiecki, WSE president Marek Dietl and separately with the deputy head of internal security agency ABW, an unspecified source tells the newspaper. Meanwhile the press is getting continuous signals of GetBack defaulting on bond interest payment.
