Poland will get less money from EU funds under the next 2021-2027 financing perspective as the new financing criteria will be less favorable for Poland, making EU funds conditional on, among others, the rule of law, Rzeczpospolita daily writes citing Brussels-based sources as EU commissioners are wrapping up the negotiations.
The entire EU budget for cohesion policy will be lower by 8% but the reduction for CEE region will be even bigger, Gazeta Wyborcza daily reports, also citing EU insiders.
The EC is yet to decide whether the decision on funds' suspension will be taken by the EC alone or in agreement with the Council of the EU.
