Listed fuel concerns PKN Orlen and Lotos may face a negative impact on their core activities from the possible reduction of supply of Iranian oil on the global market, DM mBank analyst Kamil Kliszcz says in the context of the US reinstating sanctions on Iran.
The two Polish refiners will have their supply diversification options limited and, more importantly, will be facing an increased risk of a decline in Ural/Brent differential, he believes. Orlen has worked out sufficiently flexible supply terms over the years to allow it to react to changes taking place in economic and geopolitical conditions, the company’s press officer Joanna Zakrzewska said.
