The Polish government would have to collect ca. 2.5% of millionaires' income in order to raise PLN 500 million annually in the so-called solidarity levy, daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna speculates based on unofficial information from unspecified government sources.
The levy would apply to all the richest PIT payers and the government would have to spend it in a particular way, unlike other taxes, according to the newspaper.
The government may unveil the details of the project after the initial mid-May deadline, DGP also claims.
