Polish fuel group PKN Orlen is working on two main projects right now, namely offshore wind farms on the Baltic Sea and merger with peer Lotos, executive director for energy Jaroslaw Dybowski told Parkiet daily.
The nuclear project is not mentioned as decisions on the topic first have to made on the government level, the official underlined.
Orlen wants to soon pick an advisor who will prepare analysis of the offshore project along with a financial model and agenda of the project, he said, reminding that Orlen has license to build up to 1.200 MW of wind power capacity.
PKN is open to all options, including inviting a sector investor or/and a financial investor, Dybowski added.
