The Polish government will adjust its proposed employer-sponsored pension programs PPK to allow for lower contribution payments of as little as 0.5% of gross wage for employees earning less than 120% of the minimal wage, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna found out.
In the current version of PPK bill the lower premiums are offered only to those employees who earn less than a minimum wage, for example those working part-time.
The adjustment to the bill would allow lower contribution payments for as many as 40% of the 11 mln people employed, DGP estimates based on GUS data.
PFR head Pawel Borys sees the number closer to 3.5 million.
