Poland has "found itself between a rock and a hard place" due to the current tension between its key ally the US and the EU, PM Mateusz Morawiecki told weekly Gazeta Polska. Warsaw will strive to bring the two sides together as otherwise it will have to constantly navigate between them, he remarked.
The Polish government is convinced that the final shape of the new EU budget will "differ completely" from the present proposal, Morawiecki asserted citing "promising" talks on the matter with leaders of Visegrad Group countries and the Baltic states. There is no fear that the new EU budget will be linked with observance of rule of law, he added.
