Poland's cabinet proposes to hike the minimum wage to PLN 2220 gross as of 2019 from the current level of PLN 2100, deputy labor minister Stanislaw Szwed told PAP.
"The decision of the cabinet is such that the amount that will be proposed to the social partners will be PLN 2220, and PLN 14.50 per hour," Szwed said.
The Labor ministry earlier wanted to hike the minimum monthly wage to PLN 2,250 and the hourly wage to PLN 14.70 to keep the minimum wage at around 47% of the average wage.
Currently, the minimum wage stands at PLN 2100 after it was hiked by 5% or PLN 100 as of January 2018.
