Marek Zagorski
The Polish government asked the European Commission for coordinating its negotiations with Russia concerning the unblocking of 700 MHz band for the country's planned ultra-speed 5G network, digitization minister Marek Zagorski tells the daily Rzeczpospolita.
Poland will launch 5G network regardless of the problems, the minister adds, pointing to other frequencies that could be tapped into in the process.
Terrestrial digital TV operators will make the 700MHz band available to mobile telephony operators to 2020, Zagorski says, while abstaining from confirmation of the end-June deadline for the adoption of the plan for the 700 MHz frequency usage.
