Trade unions OPZZ counting 800,000 members is threatening to go on strike if Poland doesn't unfreeze wages in the budget sector in 2019, Gazeta Wyborcza daily writes.
OPZZ wants the wages to go up by 12% as a compensation for the lack of indexation of budget sector wages since 2010, calls for tying up wage growth to GDP growth and for increasing the minimum wage to 50% of average wage from the current 47%.
