The Polish government fears that the to be created European Labour Authority, aimed at protecting migrant and posted workers, could be another instrument used against Polish employers and employees, Deputy Minister of Labour Stanislaw Szwed said.
The Polish authorities question the EUR 50 million annual budget of the institution, which is far too large, Szwed points out.
Poles fear that the institution will be used to curb competition and harm Central European firms operating in Western Europe, he adds.
