Poland's labor immigrants from Ukraine are becoming increasingly important consumers with growing purchasing power, the daily Rzeczpospolita writes of the results of a study by researcher ARC Rynek i Opinia.
According to the study, almost one-third of Ukrainians working in Poland own electronic equipment and household goods bought in the country, one-fourth drive a car bought in Poland, and 5% bought a property within the last five years, with 45% thinking of purchasing one in the future.
Also, 92% of Ukrainians living in Poland are the clients of telecoms operating on the Polish market, and over two thirds of them have an account in one of the domestic banks, the study reveals.
