Polish president Andrzej Duda "is strongly inclined" to veto the bill changing the country's rules of electing members of the European Parliament in a way that would effectively hike the electoral threshold to 11-12%, reducing chances of smaller groupings, Duda told the daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna in an interview.
The new rules, fostered by the ruling party Law and Justice (PiS), would deprive some members of Poland's political stage, as well as their voters, of a chance to be represented on the European forum, President explains.
