Biedron to create new leftist grouping?
August 16, 2018
Article's tools:

Robert Biedron
Robert Biedron, the city mayor of Slupsk and a prominent gay rights advocate, is considering giving up running for the next mayorship term and may launch a national-level leftist project "I love Poland" (Kocham Polskę), Gazeta Wyborcza reported, citing hints from leftist circles.
Biedron reportedly wants the project to participate in next year's elections to the European Parliament, where barriers to entry for a list with several known names are markedly lower.
Biedron could become the leader of a wider leftist ticket for the 2019 parliamentary election, possibly bringing together Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) and Razem parties, who have so far been rather hostile towards each other.
