The Polish government may unveil its new co-generation support system in September but will likely stick to the current scope and limitations despite appeals by the the power industry to expand the program, the Energy Ministry suggested in a statement.
Companies producing heat for their own needs will be able to benefit from the support to an extent depending on their supplies to the heating grid, while co-generation plants will be allowed to receive support based both on the different generation sources and the market mechanisms, just not for the same MWh of output, according to the ministry.
