Poland may see a reduction to its EU subsidies if it makes an unprecedented decision to ignore the European Court of Justice ruling on the rule of law, Rzeczpospolita daily wrote, citing Polish ombudsman's expert Miroslaw Wroblewski.
Comments follow a declaration by deputy PM Jaroslaw Gowin that the government could ignore the ruling if the ECJ decides to sanction suspension of new legislation by country's Supreme Court.
The ruling by ECJ could come even still this year, DGP daily claimed, citing unspecified experts, while Rzeczpospolita saw it rather within the 12 month mark.
Ruling party Law and Justice (PiS) is reportedly analyzing cases where an EU member state refused to observe a verdict issued by the EU Court of Justice, daily Gazeta Wyborcza claimed.
