Some of Poland's Supreme Court judges who performed their professional duties only on September 12 will comply with the decision concerning their retirement as issued by President Andrzej Duda and published in an official note from his Chancellery, daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna wrote citing Supreme Court's spokesperson judge Michal Laskowski.
The shift in the judges' attitude will likely mitigate the conflict between the Presidential Palace and the Court, the daily observed.
The behavior of the judges appears somewhat inconsistent as they have earlier placed their hopes on the pending ruling of the Court of Justice of the EU, which had been asked to review the problematic issues caused by Poland's recent judiciary reform, former member of the national judiciary council KRS judge Slawomir Palka said.
