Listed lender Alior Bank hopes to hit the German market with a new fintech brand Zafe offering, among other things, the so-called home banking services, the daily Puls Biznesu wrote of own findings.
Works upon the project are progressing in line with the schedule, but Alior might find it difficult to keep the original January 2019 deadline, the daily added. Still, Alior is "determined" to launch the service in Q1 2019, a project insider said.
Alior's efforts to enter European financial services market come along with similar attempts from a group of former PKO BP managers, who are after creating the first European "blockchain bank", and from Alior's former CEO Wojciech Sobieraj, who reportedly secured some EUR 500 milion in financing for an innovative pan-European financial project, the daily learnt.
