Poland's entry to the developed market basket in FTSE Russell index pool may facilitate sales of not only Polish shares, but also bonds to foreign investors, PKO BP deputy CEO Jakub Papierski said.
"Qualifying of shares to the developed market basket in itself has perhaps only slight impact on the debt market, which is very important for PKO BP, but it certainly improves Poland's perception as a stable, developed country with low volatility," Papierski said.
"Those are fundamental factors that investors take into account and that will certainly translate into better possibilities of offering securities other than equity," he said.
