Listed natgas incumbent PGNiG saw Russian Gazprom motion for setting aside a partial ruling of an arbitration tribunal regarding the Yamal Contract, PGNiG said in a market filing.
Gazprom "brought to the Court of Appeal in Stockholm a petition to set aside a partial award issued by the ad hoc Arbitral Tribunal on 29 June 2018, in the arbitration proceedings brought by PGNiG against Gazprom . . .," the filing read.
PGNiG sees "no grounds to demand setting aside the partial award of the ad hoc Arbitral Tribunal dated 29 June, 2018," the company said. "After a copy of the action is formally delivered to the Company, the Company will decide on taking further actions in this case."
In late June PGNiG said, a partial ruling from the Arbitration Tribunal, it was entitled to a reduction in natural gas import tariffs retroactive to November 1, 2014, but that the firm's initial price demands proved too aggressive.
