• Jurek Owsiak, the initiator and organizer of Poland's largest charitable event, the Great Christmas Aid Orchestra, has been sued for damage of property. Clearly irritated, he vigorously pushed over a few racks of expensive sunglasses belonging to somebody else.


• The family of Andrzej Lepper, leader of Samoobrona party, had two reasons for celebration Nov. 11. It was the politician's name day and the day that his first granddaughter, Wiktoria, was baptized. The party menu included roast pheasant, Lepper's favorite dish, his wife Irena revealed.


• Popular singer Michał Wi¶niewski, the frontman of the group Ich Troje, has been sued for plagiarism. The plaintiff claims the singer used excerpts of his lyrics; five years ago he handed a typescript of his lyrics to Wi¶niewski after the singer's concert, which Wi¶niewski then used and published as his own.


• Kuba Wojewódzki, a journalist and the most controversial judge of the Idol program, will represent Poland at the World Idol concert. The final concert of 11 competitors will be held in mid-December. Their performance will be judged by an international jury including Wojewódzki. It is still unknown whether he will wear one of his "Make war, not love" T-shirts.
