Dear Editor,
In his column entitled "The Dismissal of the Crusader" (Voice issue 7, Feb. 15) Sławomir Majman states that "The opportunity was lost when the Poles supported the Americans on the Iraqi issue without demanding anything significant in return. There's no telling when another such opportunity will emerge. For now, the Poles can only applaud the Americans."
I think it's obvious that Poland is demanding "many significant things in return" for her support. Read the papers. So you are not entirely correct.
Second, God in heaven couldn't get a visa to the U.S. since 9/11. Certainly you realize we hassle everyone equally these days.
Third, it's not like President Bush sits behind his desk with a giant switchboard he uses to switch things on and off. These things take time.
Have a little patience.
