• Cezary Pazura (pictured) won Film monthly's Golden Duck award for best actor, despite critical reviews for several months-one weekly even suggested that the actor, who once worked for major directors, is now "finished" professionally.


• Emmanuelle Seigner, wife of Roman Polanski, recently stopped by in Warsaw to promote her new film. She says Poles treat Polanski almost like the pope. Seigner revealed that she has her husband's name in her passport, but in her professional life she uses her own as she feels the need to maintain her own identity.


• Polish designer Maciej Zień has designed two dresses for Patricia Kaas, who played a private concert in Warsaw to mark the opening of Tomasz Gudzowaty's Yours gallery. The artist liked Zień's bold designs that he brought to her dressing room at the Wielki Theater.


• Małgorzata Żak, wife of one of the richest Poles and chair of the Polsat Foundation, said she recently bungee-jumped. However, she considers it a silly thing to do because she put her life at risk. Instead, she's still attracted to roller coasters and tree climbing.
