APOLOGY FROM BRITAIN FOR INACTION - WARSAW UPRISING
Marek Belka must be mad to talk about an apology from Britain for failing to help. This sort of nonsense loses friends fast. Perhaps he should reflect that if Britain among others hadn't defeated Hitler, Poles would now all be speaking German. The Norwegians have sent a Christmas tree to London every year since the war for the help that Britain gave them. It stands in Trafalgar Square and we all think kindly of the Norwegians whenever we see it. The Warsaw uprising was clearly badly coordinated with the Allies - who were rather busy at the time. Stop whining and show some gratitude.
