Kinnarps, the biggest Scandinavian producer of office furniture, telecommunications giant TeliaSonera and lightning manufacturer Luxo have joined forces to create a concept for the office of the future. Their Next Office Concept, despite its name, does not feature a futuristic design or excessive technology. It incorporates the latest trends as well as time-tested experience in ergonomics and space arrangement. The designers have focused on creating an office adjusted to the needs of people who work within it. They have concentrated on an optimum combination of three elements-light, furniture and space arrangement-in order to create an ideal work environment. All the workplaces have furniture that can be individually adjusted to the comfort needs of the users. The desks are positioned to utilize natural light. Subdued colors are combined with clear ones to prevent stress and contribute to productivity. The meeting room is designed to be a home-away-from-home space. The office also has teamwork areas that guarantee ideal communication between employees, and work areas for mobile staff.

Of course, the office of the future includes another indispensable element-rooms for relaxation and rest. The relaxation room is equipped with an audiovisual a system with color and volume control so that you can listen to the sounds of a waterfall while resting.

All these solutions are intended to ease work-related stress. If it cannot be eliminated, conditions may be created that reduce it.
