This is the sixth time that the blues will resound in Tarnobrzeg. The latest Satyrblues, combining Mississippi delta music with cabaret and satirical drawings, is scheduled for Sept. 17. This year's edition features PIR2-a band formed by Marek Raduli (guitar), Wojtek Pilichowski (bass) and Tomek Łosowski (drums), Boogie Boys-a piano group playing boogie woogie, and K2 (Kiersnowski & Kamiński and a rhythm section). Amusement will be provided by the expressive cabaret DKD (which reads as Surviving Till the End of the Day) from Słupsk. The visual part of the event will be provided by an exhibition of caricatures by Grzegorz Szumowski, an artist who has won many awards worldwide, satirical and humorous drawings by Julian Bohdanowicz, an artist known from many press publications and book illustrations, and a display of concert photos by Stanisław Staszok.
Satyrblues starts on Sat., Sept. 17 at 3 p.m. at the Tarnobrzeg Culture Center, 2 Słowackiego St.
