The Season Is Over
The expat Rugby season is over now, since the Frogs have played their last game this season in Vilnius. Unfortunately the Frogs lost the match 55:35, but still made an impressive comeback after being five tries to one down in the first half, and also playing a very experimental back line (only two from the regular squad). Besides the trip to Vilnius, the Frogs managed to win most of their home games against other touring sides, and also hammered a local team from Radość in a game of Tens.
The Frogs also played well in international tournaments, coming in first in the Warsaw Tens (a Rugby tournament organized annually by the Frogs) and second in Berlin, loosing in the Final to a Royal Logistics team made of Fijians. Their was also a 10th anniversary tour organized by the team to Biarritz (the south-west corner of France), where, dressed as Polish plumbers, they played against a team from Bidart which coaches future league players (and internationals) and the Quiksilver company team. Unfortunately they lost both games, but who can perform well on a hangover in a +35°C heatwave? If you are interested in playing or just training with the Frogs on and off the pitch (in the bars) please contact them through their website: www.frogsco.pl
