Paweł Poradzki, commercial director at DTS Przyjemne Przeprowadzki Sp. z o.o., answers the Voice’s questions.

■ DTS is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year. This milestone prompts an evaluation of the company’s operations to date. What is the track record of these five years for your company?
Since the very start, DTS has been a symbol of growth to me. Over the past five years, we have made an unusual metamorphosis as far as the enterprise is concerned. The transformation has covered the structure of employment, the vehicle fleet and, of course, our economic performance. Triple-digit growth has almost become a tradition. At the moment, we have a fleet of 22 vehicles, a staff of 116 employees and a full range of technical facilities required for the implementation of the most advanced logistic projects. Our success inspires confidence in our clients and our list of reservations is booked solid a month in advance, which only makes our business more credible.

■ If you have so many clients, why don’t you increase prices to reduce demand?
Being perceived as an expensive company is the last thing we want. Our clients are aware that the quality-to-price ratio for our services is at a very good level, and we do not want to change that. In other words, we provide the highest quality for a moderate price and are content to let it remain so.

V What has been your greatest success over the past year?
Of course, the move of the Polkomtel company. A few thousand relocated workstations in three weekends makes it the largest removal project carried out in Poland in such a short time. In areas where guaranteeing the continuity of the company’s functioning is the most important, there is no room for concessions. DTS personnel and technical facilities as well as know-how and flexibility in adapting to client needs guarantee proper performance of the service. Our victory in this tender is our award for five years of hard work and an objective confirmation of the high standard of DTS services.

■ How do you handle international transportation without branches abroad?
It’s simple, our employees are with the client from the start to the end of the service. The same experienced team packs and unpacks the client’s belongings in the country of destination. While carrying out the order, we get to know the client and find out what they are concerned about the most. We remember where we packed their things and know where to put them. The moving process is therefore pleasant and stress-free for the client. We do not need to operate branches abroad to provide the highest quality. Thanks to this, we reduce costs and the service coordinator responsible for handling the move keeps in touch with the client at all times.

■ How would you assess the mobility of the Polish population?
Over the past few years, we have become a much more mobile society. This results from the fact that individuals holding high managerial posts sometimes move to the central offices of Western companies—for them the move is also linked with climbing the corporate ladder. Administrative personnel and high-ranking officials seeking employment in the structures of European organizations are also eager to move. For both these types of clients, such a relocation is confirmation of their achievements in life, a road sign that shows that the limits of their professional growth in one place have been reached. These clients look for top-quality services. They expect guarantees and certainty, and that’s why they come to us—to get exactly what they were looking for.
