A man who fathered two children by his daughter after raping her repeatedly over several years was given a 10-year jail sentence by a court Thursday.
Krzysztof Bartoszuk said he would appeal after the court in Bialystok, northeastern Poland, found him guilty of rape. His wife told television reporters that she had not known what was happening behind the closed door of a room in their home.
The Polish press dubbed Bartoszuk the "Polish Fritzl" because his case resembled that of Austrian Josef Fritzl, who was found guilty of keeping his daughter locked in a cellar for more than 20 years and fathering seven children by her.
