Poland arrests 19 in connection to Norway attacks

Polish investigators arrested 19 people and searched nearly 100 homes across Poland on suspicion of producing explosives and in connection with July massacre in Norway, prosecutors said Wednesday.

The detained people were customers of the Poznan-based online firm that sold chemicals to Anders Behring Breivik, who killed 77 people in a bomb attack in Oslo and a shooting rampage at a youth camp on Utoya island.

The arrests were part of a wider investigation that was launched after Norway asked Poland to investigate people with links to Breivik.

The Internal Security Agency said it was investigating whether any other people had bought from the company any large quantities of chemicals that could be used to manufacture explosives.
