Celebrating Dance
The Wielki Theater/National Opera is holding the Days of Dance Art festival for the second time Sept. 7-23, featuring acts such as the Ballet Theater from St. Petersburg, the D.O.Z.S.K.I. Theater of Contemporary Choreography from Belarus and Daisuke Yoshimoto, a leading dancer from Japan. Other performers will include Polish ballet schools and dance theaters, including the National Ballet of Poland founded last year.

The participants will perform around 20 choreographic projects ranging from dance miniatures to grand productions, including Don Quixote by Marius Petipa with choreography by Boris Eyfman.

To mark the Year of Chopin, Polish participants of the festival have prepared a number of Chopin-related events, including the premiere of a ballet entitled Chopin, A Romantic Artist, which will close the event.
