PGNiG’s sales contracts scrutinized by energy market watchdog
Natural gas giant PGNiG will come under scrutiny from the competition and consumer protection office UOKiK with regard to potentially unlawful clauses used in gas sales contracts, by which PGNiG proscribes re-sale of the resource by its industrial clients.

Such terms are unacceptable, energy market watchdog URE head Marek Woszczyk said as cited by the daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.

UOKiK is presently running a preliminary investigation, its spokesperson Malgorzata Cieloch said.

PGNiG defends itself claiming it only requires its clients to declare what use they will make of the purchased resource.
